Course Overview

The respiratory system processes oxygen for delivery to every body cell. This system is also responsible for sound production, and protection from infection through coughing and sneezing. This course will provide an overview of basic anatomy and functioning of the respiratory system.

After completion of this course, you will:

• Be able to identify the major organs of the respiratory system
• Understand the basic functions of the respiratory system
• Be able to identify changes in body function that must be reported to a supervisor
• Identify common disease conditions associated with the respiratory system
