Course Overview

Many physician-ordered tests require the collection of body specimens. As a Home Health Aide (HHA), you may be responsible for the appropriate collection, storage, and delivery of the physician-ordered body specimens to a local laboratory.

In this module you will:

• Learn about the different types of specimens that may be needed
• Learn about the collection methods for obtaining specimens
• Learn about proper containment, labeling, and storage of specimens prior to lab drop-off
